Plan for the organisation of the space at the summit of Vesuvius - 1972

3 PHASES

FIRST PHASE : THE YELLOW LINE
Precise geographic DELINEATION of the FUTURE international Cultural PARK by DRAWING a BORDERLINE by coloring the ground with YELLOW fluorescent paint
This operation can be carried out in a simple manner the necessary paint being brought up on mule back.

SECOND PHASE : THE BLUE CROSSES
These represent the impact upon the ground of ICE BLACKS LAUCHED FROM A HELICOPTER and aimed at precisely selected points (personnal intuitive choice) within the delimited territory.
The action is filmed fully from a second helicopter. The FILM CONSTITUTES THE TRACE of this second phase.

THIRD PHASE : THE RED DOTS
Listening to Vesuviu's response to this ritual agression.
- 3 LISTENING BOOTHS are erected ON THE EVERYEDGE of the crater
- From these three cables to the end of the which are connected ultrasensitive sound detectors located as near as possible to the bottom of the crater.
- These transparent, soundproof booths are open to all they are equipped with individual head-sets.
- They are LOCATED AT THE APECES OF THE LARGEST ISOCELES TRIANGLE THAT COULD BE DRAWN WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE CRATER.

For this space organisation the symbols are considered as materials on an equal footing with the yellow paint, the ice blocks, the helicopters, listening booths, etc.
